Test your skills and launch balls into a moving basketball hoop under the stadium lights!nnThe Mini Motorized Basketball Game is a collaborative project with MakerWorld that showcases the amazing and endless possibilities of the new Maker's Supply kit! This model features a motorized moving basketball hoop, stadium lights, customizable signage, and a basketball aiming rig to launch the ball.nnThe motorized moving ring rotates twice in the same direction and then changes direction and rotates twice more because the motor only rotates in one direction, but the output signal automatically changes direction using a fairly simple gear system.nnThe whole model is assembled using snaps, so no glue is needed at all and it will be easy to disassemble if you need to reuse any of the non-printed components.nn
Here is a list of the required non-printed components (all available in the Maker's Supply kit):nn1x 0.5x5x25 mm coil spring (BB004)n1x 2x33 mm brass dowel pin (DA006)n1x 6003 plastic deep groove ball bearings (EA001)n1x 6204 plastic deep groove ball bearings (EA002)n1x M2.5 stainless steel hexagonal nut (AB001)n1x M2.5 socket head screws (SHCS) (AA005)n1x M2.5 stainless steel flat washer (AC001)n14 mm plastic balls (ZB001)n1x power distribution board (PDB)n3x jumpersn1x On/Off switch boardn1x USB power cable OR 1x AA battery casen2x 5v rectangle LED board (KB001)n3x 20 cm wire (IC007)n1x N20 series motor with 150 rpm gearbox (LA002)nnIf you have AMS, the hoop and pad are colorful (with very little wasted thread) to make the project really shine!nnEverything has been tested on the X1C, A1 and A1 mini! All parts fit on the A1 mini bed.nn
Several parts in the project use special settings to ensure the model runs as smoothly as possible:nnThe back wall is the only part that needs supports, fortunately, the supports are easy to removenBasketball hoop disk - To balance the weight of the basketball hoop and the bearing, the hoop disk has a modifier for 50% fill on half of the modelnCourt - This part is printed upside down for two reasons, to allow multi-color printing cleanly and also to make a slope on the back of the model to keep the top of the model smooth so that the balls can roll easily.nWorm gear - worm gear is printed with a layer height of 0.12mm (0.4mm nozzle is used) to avoid the use of supports.nAll of these specific settings are taken into account in the provided profiles, so you don't need to make any changes yourself if you are using a Bambu Lab printer.nn
